Thursday, October 24 2024 | 5:15- 7 PM

Cloud Lounge @ University of New England Campus Center (11 Hills Beach Rd, Biddeford, ME)

Thank you to all of the survivors who shared their stories and the volunteer readers who made this event possible.

Watch the recording of the 2024 Survivor Stories Project.

Caring Unlimited is collecting stories written by survivors of abuse to be read by volunteer readers at our Survivor Stories Project performance during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October. The identities of authors remain confidential to preserve safety for all participants. Survivors do not need to have received services from Caring Unlimited to share their story.

If you would like to participate by submitting a story, you may write in whatever format you choose (essay, a poem, in stream-of-consciousness style, etc). Only small edits may be made to ensure length and that no identifying information is included.

Please keep your story to approximately 250- 500 words or 3 paragraphs so that we can include as many stories as possible in the time allotted for the performances. Not all submitted stories may be included in the final performance. The deadline to submit your story for the 2024 Survivor Stories Project has passed, so your story will be considered for 2025.

Use the form to submit your story to be read anonymously or email it to our Community Educator at anna@caring-unlimited.org.

You are welcome to use our optional writing guide to help organize your writing process.
